Let’s Adopt! International Founder Viktor Larkhill received a call about a severely injured greyhound. The reporter said someone abandoned the dog and left her to die on the streets alone. Quickly, Viktor responded to the call to save the dog.
Once at the rescue site, Viktor spotted Sasha, lying by the side of a busy road. She was so skinny and weak. When the rescuers approached, she tried to avoid them, but she didn’t have the strength to move.

The rescue team hooked Sasha to an IV before loading her into the rescue car. They wanted to make sure she stays hydrated. And then, they drove her straight to the animal hospital.
Viktor and his team knew Sasha was in pain. But they didn’t know what was wrong with her. After a thorough examination, the vet team determined her leg is infected.
The doctors did everything they could to keep Sasha pain-free. But to ultimately save her life, they had no choice but to amputate her leg. After multiple surgeries within a couple of months, the vets declared Sasha is out of danger.

The adorable greyhound needed a little more time to heal. Soon, she added some weight and received a clean bill of health. Sasha is ready to be with her new forever family.
Viktor and the rest of Let’s Adopt! International reached out to everyone they knew. They sought every help they can to make sure they find the perfect match for Sasha. And before anyone knew it, Viktor found the perfect family.

Viktor personally drove Sasha to Barcelona, Spain, on the 24th of December. Despite the complete difference in her surroundings, the dog instantly adjusted to her new home.
Sasha lost a leg because of an unfortunate event in her life. But she received the best Christmas gift ever. Sasha found her new home, and she’s staying with her family for the rest of her life.
